1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Skeinly ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. Skeinly reserves the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Skeinly is a personal yarn inventory management application designed for knitters, crocheters, and fiber artists. The Service allows you to catalog your yarn collection, track projects, manage patterns, and organize your crafting supplies. Skeinly is provided "as is" and is intended for personal, non-commercial use.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Skeinly is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Skeinly, including photos, pattern text, and yarn data. By uploading content, you grant Skeinly a limited license to store, display, and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service. We will never sell, share, or use your content for advertising purposes.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure

6. Data Storage

Skeinly stores your data locally and/or on secure servers. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are encouraged to regularly export your data using the CSV export feature as a personal backup.

7. Service Availability

We strive to keep Skeinly available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime.

8. Limitation of Liability

Skeinly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. In no event shall Skeinly or its creators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or interruption of business.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data at any time before termination using the built-in export features.

10. Subscription & Refund Policy

Skeinly offers a free tier and a paid Pro plan. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal on your profile page. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain Pro access until then.

If you are unsatisfied with your Pro subscription, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your initial purchase or most recent renewal. To request a refund, email support@skeinly.app with your account email and reason. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days.
